JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Jeremy Cape as an executive director to its global transportation group. Jeremy will be based in the firm’s London office and report to Andrian Dacy, head of global transportation. He will be responsible for the origination, underwriting, due diligence and transaction execution of aviation investments for JP Morgan Global Alternatives, the alternative investment arm of JP Morgan Asset Management. Jeremy brings over 15 years of experience in the aviation investment business to this newly-created role. He joins JP Morgan from Aercap, one of the largest independent global aircraft lessors, where he spent more than seven years and closed in excess of 140 aircraft transactions.
BNP Paribas has appointed John Bigham as a senior banker covering strategic clients in global banking EMEA, effective immediately. Based in London, John reports to Simon Gates, UK head of corporate coverage and transaction banking. In addition to strengthening the bank’s relationships with strategic UK corporate clients, John will be responsible for managing one of the bank’s UK coverage teams. John has more than 25 years’ experience in investment banking and strategy consulting. He joins BNP Paribas from Nomura where he was a managing director and Head of Natural Resources & Power, EMEA. He previously worked at Standard Bank, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank and the LEK Partnership.
ICBC Standard Bank
ICBC Standard Bank has appointed both Adam Brake and Evan Richards to the base metals team, reporting to Tim Wilson, head of base metals. Adam is appointed head of trading, while Evan has been appointed head of funding and inventory. Adam’s focus will be to lead and develop the Base Metals Trading business for the Bank. With over 20 years’ experience in derivatives spanning FX and Commodities, Adam has held positions across both trading and structuring roles. Prior to a brief spell at BNP, Adam spent 17 years at JPMorgan Chase, where he successfully lead the Base Options trading desk. Evan’s responsibility will be to lead the ongoing development of the Inventory Financing business, with a focus on strategy and pricing. Having lead the physical inventory trading for the latter part of 17 years at Deutsche Bank, his considerable experience and professionalism that he brings to the bank will enable him to identify opportunities and develop further the banks unique product offering. ICBC has also recently hired Chris Williamson as a specialist commodities structurer.
